Volunteers are parents, family, friends, students, and community members. Volunteers make Kent Little League a successful organization for the Kent and Covington, Washington communities. Volunteer positions needed include:
- Head Coach - Manages team development, skill growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Duties include planning practices, preparing fields, communicating with parents, and ensuring compliance with LL regulations, bylaws and safety guidelines
- Assist Coach - Assists the head coach in team development, skill growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Duties include assisting with practices and games, providing individual instruction, ensuring compliance with LL regulations, bylaws and safety guidelines
- Team Parent - Acts as a liaison between coaches and families. Responsibilities include coordinating team communications, arranging snacks, and assisting with fundraising activities such as concessions schedules and Rainiers ticket sales
- Concessions Volunteer - Responsible for operating concessions during scheduled games, supporting sales and light food preparation. Food handlers permit is not required but helpful. Easy, on-the-job training provided
- Team Volunteer - Supports the team by managing tasks such as score keeping, field preparation, and emptying trash cans. Duties may also include assisting with any other needs as requested to ensure the smooth operation of team activities.
- Umpires - Weather your calling balls and strikes behind the plate, or making calls at the bases, Umpires are the third team on the field
